Start, Run, type "cmd", type "ipconfig /all >C:\ipconfig.txt". Leave out the quotes ("").

Open C:\ipconfig.txt with Notepad and copy/paste the info back for review and comment.

What OS are you running?

Type ipconfig /all and copy the info back here.

We need to see the IP address of the machine and the default gateway and some other info.

This PC did not get a correct network IP address. 169.xxx.xxx.xxx is a Windows default addresses that do not get you anywhere. It appears for some reason the DHCP did not work on this machine.

Either disable and re-enable the NIC or reboot the machine and see what happens.

If this does not work, your TCP/IP stack may need to be reset.

How many Network Interfaces does this machine have installed??

If you have more than 1, you may want to disable all but the interface you need.

The other solution to get you on line is to manually configure a static IP addresses.

Go to a working machine and do the ipconfig /all

See what the IP address scheme is.

You will need to manually enter the following info:

IP address, probably something like 192.168.xxx.xxx??
The issue here is not to duplicate a current IP address. Choose an IP address outside of the DHCP range or something that ends in .251. Try to ping the address you decide to use before you configure the PC that does not work. You do not want to get a response from the address you choose as you will then have an IP address conflict.

Subnet mask 255.255.255.0

Default Gateway, probably something like 192.168.xxx.001??

You will then need to enter the DNS server IP addresses as well.
61.1.96.69
61.1.96.71

Maybe you have a bad NIC or a problem with the wiring between the router/switch and this specific machine??

I noticed DHCP was enabled on the machine yesterday, now it is not. Is this because you manually entered the IP address? If you did, you need to change the machines IP address from 192.168.17.16 to 192.168.1.251 and the machine should work on the network. The machine is currently not on the same IP subnet so it clearly will not access the network.

I also see this NIC comes up as Local Area 3, how many LAN cards are in this machine and how many physical connections are currently to this machine?

Control Panel, Network Connections, click on LAN icon, Properties, scroll down to TCP/IP, click Properties.

Try fixed IP address

If nothing works, you can disable the dynamic IP assignment, and give it a fixed unused IP e.g., 192.168.1.7. This should work if a DHCP problem.
