Hello

I work in a company that uses a network centralized printing solution.

The printer is installed from a server directory (Example \\server123), right click on the icon of the printer + Connect and the printer is automatically added and installed in Windows 7 (The OS is a modified version of Win 7).

This printer icon is a centralized list buffer on a server that saves all documents and allows to print with a badge in any printer closest to us.

Yesterday the printer stopped working for only one user.

When i try to reinstall the printer, i can access the server but when installing the icon of the printer i get a message error 0x00000002 - "Windows cannot connect to the printer" .

Are there any sequenced commands that may help solve the problem?
Any idea how to solve this?

Thank You
Best regards

Is your company part of a Domain? Using Active Directory? Or are you just connected P2P in a Workgroup?
If part of a Domain, check the users status in Active Directory, make sure they have printing permissions to the Printer Object or they are part of a group that has permission to print to the print object. If the user is part of a group that is not allowed to print as well as a group that can print, then they will not be able to print unless they leave that group that do not have permissions to print
If you are connected via a Workgroup, then on the users computer, login as Administrator Go to Start/Search and type services.msc and press enter. In Services scroll down to Print Spooler double click it and and Stop the service. Now Start the service, make sure the Startup type is Automatic now install the driver.

Hi, yes the printer has worked on this machine so no need to worry about the network what you need to do is follow Spunk's last suggestion regarding the print spooler do this and the driver he refers too actually means to then run the "add printer wizard".
