Hi,

We have a printer (HP 1220C) that is networked, and a user was having trouble printing, everything would print Black & White. After varifying that the print setting were correct, and that other people could print to the printer in color, then I decided I would delete the printer and add it again. Well, when I selected the printer and hit 'Delete this printer' it asked me if I was sure I want to remove the connection to this printer. I said yes. Now, the printer is still there and it has a status of 'Deleting'. Tried rebooting and it still is there with a status of 'Deleting'. There are no print jobs in the queue, and I tried restarting the Printer Spooler service and that did not help. Any thoughts on what the problem might be? :4-dontkno

one user or resource is still connected to printer or port. how was this printer networked?
did you create a tcp/ip port?
try deleting the port it is on. ( you cannot be on the same port when you delete it.) - so try selecting a different printer then delete the port from there.
be careful not to delete the port your on.
