ok so im a bit of a noob when it comes to networking.

I just reformatted the hard drive in the PC I built a couple years ago and it has an Asus motherboard with built in Ethernet. The internet in our home is as so, my parents computer is connected to the internet via their internet providers rented router and before I reformatted my drive I was connecting to the internet via that same router (hardwired not wireless) so how do I go about getting back that local area connection I believe it was that I was using to connect? The only drivers that have a "?" and "!" by them are in Other Devices. I assume that because my Ethernet is built in that the driver is up to date?

Thanks in advance,
Jonathan

Actually, any ? or ! indicates you probably don't have the correct drivers loaded. You need to go to Asus and download the correct drivers for your motherboard. You need at least the chipset drivers and the network drivers. I suspect you also have no sound drivers...
