Hello, my wife is running Vista Home Premium service pack 2 on her Acer laptop, and we are having the issue of the network connections box being slow to open, respond and connect to wireless connections (up to 15 minutes to access & connect). We do not have access to other connections (dialup or lan) but the connections box is still slow when no wireless networks are present. We have tried disabling windows defender, accessing through 'connect to' on the start menu, and a couple of other things, but nothing has worked. The commonly found solution
doesn't work because 'local users and groups' is not listed under system tools in computer management on her computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is becoming very frustrating. Thank you very much>>Right click "Computer"
>>Under the "System Tools" section, Double click "Local Users and Groups"
>>Right click "Administrators"
>>Click "Add to group..."
>>Click "Find Now"
>>Double click "Local Service"
>>"NT Authority\Local Service" should show up in the list now
>>Close Computer Management and reboot.
