Hi!

I'm always getting Network Cable unplugged...
Can someone here help me?

The story:
I have a computer running Windows XP (SP1)...
This is a fresh install since I thought that reinstalling the OS would solve my problem (well it didn't!)

I try to connect to a DSL router with an ordinary ethernet cable.
(FYI: I know that the cable is OK and the router (and DSL Line) is OK, since I have two computers (and one of them works fine)).

I have tried both the onboard NIC and two others NICs with no success. I always get "Network Cable Unplugged".
(I also tried to disable onboard LAN while testing the other NICs).

Have any of you got an idea of whats wrong?

Hi
Have you tried re-installing the drivers for the network card, also have you checked all the settings in the bios just to make sure none have changed somehow.
In my bios i have a option to load failsafe settings which force windows to re-detect the hardware you could give that a go.
One last thing maybe ,try booting in safemode (with networking) to see if that helps
Worth a try eh! :sayyes:
