Hi I'm not the best with this stuff but have a ruff knownlage most of the laptops in my house are on wireless my laptop is a lil far away from my lap top so I ran a cat 5e cable from my room to where the router is with a cat 5e termination at both ends plugggin and ethronet cable from router to cat 5e and from other end of cat5e cable to lap top this turn off the net to all other computers help please I have tested the lines and they test threw fine any help woud grate.

Well, I'd be looking closely at the actual wiring of the connectors, that's where people usually come to grief making cables. Note that the specific pairs MUST be wired as below, you want the 586B configuration.

i have these made already and are wired up correct but when pluggin 1 lap top into the router turns off the wireless to all other computers

all i have done is made a connection with my router and plugged it to my laptop without the wireless the net will not work on my laptop either

Using a short factory made cable, try connecting the laptop to the port on the router that your long cable is using, see if that works.

tryed that im on vister the comp i hsd plugged in befor eas on wp and worked fine

tryed that im on vister, the computer i had plugged in before was on xp and worked fine have spoken to two friends who are IT consultants and they dont have a cule im thinking is the settings i have read that vister likes to play up when putting it to a network cant understand why it turns the wireless off tho

right brake throw the net now works but only when lap top is not charging as soon as u plug the lead in nothing strange im an electrishion and i no this can interfear but still its strange thank you for your help so far if u could just sugest a way around this last problem would b fantastic cheers bud
