Network Address

omg. i spent countless hours trying to fix my acquiring network address manually.. and i spent more countless hours trying to look trough forums just to find alot of hubba hubba mumbo jumbo. they all think the problem is their router and the actual tech ppl who runs the forums think it is to.. but even i know its a OS problem.. but hey... im going to try this on my pc and if it doesn't work ill post up whatever info you need.. reminder that my internet stays on acquiring network address with no internet access whatsoever and im running XP PRO SP3

update - ah.. those 2 commands didnt work and im still stuck on acquiring network address.

notice how everything is zero or empty. my father gave me this computer which he used in iraq. So i hooked it up in my room and gave it a spin.. the internet was the only thing that wasn't working. My ISP is Comcast highspeed internet (cable modem with telephone port).. i would like to fix this problem and i need some help but if reinstalling windows will fix it then i will do that.
