I have installed a Netgear wg111v3 wireless adapter. I have an internet connection until I shut the computer off. When I turn it back the connection will be lost because the Netgear program will change the setting that allows Windows to automatically configure settings. I will have to reprogram the whole connection again. How do I get it to leave the settings alone?

Are you using a 3rd party Wireless Network Manager software to connect to your wireless network? If you do, you need to disable your WZC by following this guide.

Im using the wireless connection directly from my provider. They have told me that it is the netgear program that is over riding the commands. Is there any way to disable that?

Check the Services that are started/running from Control Panel(change it to Classic View style), then locate Admin Tools then Services. Find any Netgear Services and Stop the Service, see if this helps.
