I am thinking about buying another computer and was thinking about the new netbook computers. The only problem that I have found with these computers is: How do I install software that is on cd's or dvd's. I was thinking I might be able to use my existing desktop or USB memory stick. Is this possible or do I need to buy a External CD/DVD drive which will add to the cost.

I am sure it is more beneficial but can you copy a software cd on a USB Memory Stick then install the software in the Netbook with the Memory Stick acting like a software CD. I only need to install one or two programs that run on XP. My desktop is Vista and will not run these programs.

Yes, I believe you can do that via USB stick.
