I don't know why that would suddenly start happening, but I'd do two things. One, uninstall Nero totally and reinstall, see if that wakes it up. Two, download the latest update to 5.5, it's a free upgrade for your version, it'll load right over what you have. Do them in that order, first the uninstall/reinstall.

Hi, Nero 5.5.3.5 is not detecting my plextor 52x32x52 CDWriter, it was working fine last week, Explorer can see the drive

You download it from Ahead Software, Nero 5.5 updates
