It would appear that the computer does not recognize this as a rewritable drive or disk ?

This is an Xp problem It can happen quite regular The default burning option changes at random. If you rick click on the burner you want, go to properties and then click recording tab put a check in the enable burning on this drive box.

See if It sort's your problem

did the nero you have come with the cd burner?
