Hello.

I'm going to Edinburgh Fringe Festival and need to get my poster image resized for the website.

I attach the image its in PDF. The website says it need to be in:

- 343 x 343 pixels
- Square
- 300dpi
- CMYK
- JPEG format (not PDF, as attached)
- Under 10mb

It needs to be done by next Friday. Can anyone help? thanks in advance.

can you attach requirements form from the Fringe Festival or printers please?

343 x 343 pixels and square sounds like it is to be used as a thumbnail on the Fringe site only (you would not be able to print from an image that size) and would never be as big as 10MB anyway....the image you attached resized to those proportions in CMYK only comes to 720KB.

Your poster is rectangular and will be distorted if made square...would need complete redesign if necessary to be square...or it will look kinda weird.

As I said above...your original is rectangular and will distort when made square

I have attached a 343 x 343 CMYK version that is the original distorted to fit square format

I have also attached a 343 x 343 CMYK version that I have quickly added some colour & texture to the sides of the original rectangular version...I didn't spend much time on it so it isn't a great match for the brush marked original...if the original was done by a graphic designer you probably shouldn't use it as it may breach copyright. I only did it to show you how a redesign could look.

another thing that is unusual: CMYK is usually only a requirement for images being used for commercial printing, not on the net
