I am trying to figure out how I can automatically move files from one directory to another and exclude documents that are open or are in use.

For example, I may have two .doc files that are closed and can be moved to a different directory, but have one .doc that is still open (where a ~.doc accompanies the original file). I need to keep the orginal .doc and the associated temp file in the original directory and move the others, until that document is closed.

I have experimented with Robocopy by excluding the ~.doc file, but it will still move the orginal file created.

Any ideas or utilities out there that do this?
