the laptop i have has windows ME in it, when i try to install the drivers for the pcmcia modem card is throws a...... " CAN NOT INSTALL DUE TO RESTRICTIONS ON THIS COMPUTER".

it's a used laptop that was bought and it's a few years old. is there a way around this "little" problem. i would like to put a modem in it to surf the web.

i have figured out the problem myself and got the drivers to load.



now to rant......................

i posted this problem on more then one message board with the same answer to the problem......."ask the person who put the restrictions on to remove them"........OKAY here's my question.......how hard is the word "USED" to understand.......don't people think that if someone has a "USED" computer and they knew the person that put the restrictions on that they would have enough brains to ask that person....... DUH !!!!!!!
