Need help with Video Card Drivers

873 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  tiger025
So, my issue in which I seek help I beleive I have the wrong video card driver. Its hard for me to explain becuase I play on games, Counter-Strike, World of Warcraft, Everquest, Starcraft, Diablo2. All of these games recieve lag because I see pixels, I see to many pixels which my video card cannot handle. I am a novice to computers software, so I have no clue in my right mind which one to download. My brother was the one who downloaded it and I cannot contact him becuase I have no idea where he is, rarely stops by. He is the professional of the house. I think this is all the info you need, if not just post it and I will dig for it.

This is my current video card- nVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400 (Microsoft)
My current main dirver is- nv4_disp.dll

welcome to tsf

to install the driver, make sure your antivirus is disabled
uninstall all previous nvidea drivers, go to add/remove in your control panel
download from here

yes, i have one of those cards here, and that's the best driver i've found for it.

by the way, the problems you are having are not because of it's driver, it's because it's a low end card.

64 megs isn't the only thing to consider...

the 400mx/420mx/440mx series are more or less useless for gaming.
I am a gamer and I can tell you that card is not very good these days. I may handel older games like Counter-Strike, Starcraft, Diablo2 but you may need a better one for World of Warcraft and perhaps Everquest
