I have a compaq computer running xp. I hookedup a netgear wireless router/modem to it. It worked fine but my dad didnt want it. So i then reconnected the ubee modem.( i am using roadrunner btw) Now the internet is not working. The light for internet is blinking on the modem, i flushed dns, aqcuired a new ip adress, and turned off modem and computer for a while, plugged modem in first then computer, but nothing is working. Can someone help me?

Hello and Welcome to TSF!

Is the ubee modem a new device? or you've had this before. You may call up your ISP and find out if they see the MAC Address of your Modem.
Need to clear the ARP of the modem, either by resetting it or power Cycling (depends on the modem). The modem is only allowed 1 IP, and if the arp shows it's assigned to the router, it will not give one out.
If you changed the connected modem on a cable account, you need to contact the ISP and have then change the authentication from the old device MAC address to the current one.
