Hey all, I've been searching the internet for this information, No Luck , hopefully one of you can help me.

I'm building a computer from old parts I have. I plan to install Linux Mint OS when it's complete. The case, if you can call it that, is a DIY with a cyber punk/industrial look. Here is where I'm having trouble. The front panel HD audio header. I'm using a audio header cable from an old PC. The pin-out, audio header cable color code and jack connections are as follows:

To summarize:
Rectangle Font Material property Screenshot Parallel

So, from what I've been able to determine, the audio and microphone jacks are the same type; 5 pin with 2 internal switches.

So, here are my questions:
Can you verify that my determination regarding the jacks is correct?
How do pins 4 & 6 from the HD audio header get connected to the microphone jack?
How do pins 7 & !0 from HD audio header get connected to the audio jack?

Thank you for your time and effort for looking at my post 🍻
