Hi Everyone:

First, thanks for providing us with this great service.
I need some help on my image scanner. Recently, a friend
gave me an Acer ScanPrisa 640P scanner. I have downloaded
and installed the proper driver software, but the scanner
does not work. When I click SCAN, a message says,"READ IMAGE DATA FAILURE." In short, it does not scan.

I have uninstalled and re-installed the driver software several times.
Downloaded a new driver, checked the Device Manager in My Computer System, still no luck! I have Windows 98SE. My old scanner works fine, but not this one. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

SPEEDO:

Just a note to thank you, SPEEDO, for the info from BenQ. This is the most detailed instructions I have found on trouble-shooting the scanner. Thank you. I will try all those steps and see if they will solve the problem. Thanks again. - Jaymes -
