i just formated my computer with xp sp 3
n installed rational rose. but i cant seem to open it.
the loading picture/screen appeared for +-1 sec n nothing appear..
when finish installing it appear error..

Error -1073741819 reported by "C:\Program Files\Rational\Rose 2000\rose.exe" /regserver.
Can't find entrypoint DllRegisterServer in C:\WINDOWS\system32\schannel.dll.

how do i fix this..
tried uninstalled n installed back n even restart my pc a dozen times.

The IBM site says

147897 "Can't find entry point dll register server in schannel.dll" will appear in on Windows 2000 systems during Suite install. This does not effect the usage of the suite products on this platform.

Don't know what to make of this since you're on XP. Is there an XP version of Rational Rose you can download? (Before mods jump on me for using the word "download" - I downloaded Rational Rose when I was a student - had a license via my class, which of course expired at the end of the semester). If all else fails, e-mail IBM about it.

i tried to run safe mode n it was working ( selected Administrator User then my user )
n when reboot, it just wont open.
should i reformat my pc n leave the user to Administrator only n not make other user??

problem solve...
i think..

went to where r.R is installed (C:\Program Files\Rational\Rose 2000)
right click -> rose.exe -> properties -> compatibility -> tick (run this program in compatibility mode for windows 2000 and disable visual theme

and it is working...
hope this help any1 that face the same problem as i did..
