this is for gaming like Diablo 3 and Knights of the old republic

the Corsair is better in every way, it has a better graphics card and at least it has a Corsair power supply
but the thing is 500W is OK for the 6850 but if I were you, I'll get at least a 650W Power Supply

The 500W is more than enough. It's a corsair unit so it should be rock stable even up to 600W+.

No, it really shouldn't. A 500w power supply from Corisar is 80+ rated. That means that it will be 80% efficient. So for a 500 watt PSU, you can expect a minimum of 80% or 400 watts. That is all that it guarantees.
