Hey I'm new here so I bought a computer from newegg long time ago:

Acer AX1420-UR10P (PT.SG9P2.003) Desktop PC - Newegg.com

I want to know what graphics card I can get to replace the crappy one that came with this computer because it's no good.

Please help me pick a graphics card, I also have a 450 W PSU i can replace if the graphics card need higher power.

my price range is 50$ or under.

Same concerns with the PSU as gcavan. If you're 450W PSU is ATX, it will not fit into the Acer case.
Your PC is designed/intended for general use (Student/Home office) and is not upgrade friendly.

I'm just going to leave the power supply outside the case.

@gcavan

That link leads me to google chrome website. Do you think you can find one on newegg.com? I'm most likely going to buy one from there.

And my friend bought the same PC and he could upgrade it, but the first card I bought didn't work at all so yeah. I know how to install the card so I'm just going to try again.

I actually have 2 monitors but I can use either one of them.

Acer S201HLbd Black 20" 5ms LED-Backlight LCD monitor 250 cd/m2 ACM 12,000,000:1 (1000:1) - Newegg.com

Acer G226HQLBbd Black 21.5" 5ms Widescreen LED Monitor200 cd/m2 ACM 100,000,000:1 (600:1) No - Retail - Newegg.com

And I just want to be able to play games and record. Games like Grand Chase, Latale, S4 league and Dragon nest. And I want to be able to record as well.

Some people have told me with $50 it's hard to get a good graphics card, what would you guys suggest then? I'll try to save money for it.

This is my power supply.

The link goes to Newegg for me.
The PSU is not the best quality but it should be OK with a 5450 GPU.
What Brand & Model was the GPU you tried that didn't work?
What problems did you have?
Don't expect a great gaming experience with that GPU.

Your PSU would not support the GT 520.
You will not get a good gaming experience with any $50 GPU.

Getting playable frame rates is achievable. However recording your game in real time chews up huge resources, so much so that your game experience suffers.

The slim case of your Acer allows only low-profile or low-profile ready cards. Also, considering the graphics card slot is at the very edge of the motherboard and immediately adjacent to the side panel of the case, you are further limited to single width cards only.

That said, these would be the best available from Newegg.

The above GPU's will be fine but your 450W Antec would be no more than sufficient.
