Hey there members

I just built a computer and im going to use my LCD as my monitor, the graphic card i have is asus 7600gt, i need to connect it by s-video. Last time I connected my other computer (different one to this time and different graphics card) on my lcd I got a picture BUT on start up when windows loads on the loading screen was colour it looked normal but when I got into the desktop it went black and white. Like I said it was a different computer to the one im connecting now. But I still don’t know why that happened but anyway…..

The links below is the "thing" I got with my graphics card. Can some one please tell me what wires I need from the 3 outputs to go into the LCD tv or any other things I need?

That is a component video output. I would use that instead of S-video so you can get HD resolutions like 1280 x 720 and 1080 x 1920. All you will need to do is plug that into your graphics card and go to your local electronics store and pick up a Component Video Cable, and use that to connect the graphics card to the TV.

The highest possible picture would be with DVI or HDMI. If you have a DVI input, I would use that, but if not, then use HDMI. Just keep in mind that if the TV has only one HDMI, you might want to consider saving that for another device such as an HD or Blu-Ray DVD player or a PS3 if you have one. But if you have dual HDMI ports or you don't have any of those things, then feel free to use it. Just remember you will have to use separate speakers rather than the ones on the TV.

The link doesn't seem to work for me. Neither do.

Is it on the right video input? Cycle through the inputs with TV/Video or Input Select and see if you get a picture. Try the other DVI output on your video card as well. Also, make sure your refresh rate is set to 60 Hz and not anything higher.
