Hi all,

Three things happened to me recently,

  • Bought some 5.1 speakers and my Mobo doesnt have the plugs for them...
  • My PC started freezing up and crashing during heated games of total war.
  • My girlfriend bought a PC which makes mine look like a 486.

Experiencing these events has forced me to realize that it is time i buy a new PC.

This is what i am going for:

Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair IV Formula Motherboard
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition
RAM: Corsair CMP8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
Graphics card: XFX Radeon HD6970 2GB
Power Supply: Antec TruePower Quattro 850W TPQ-850

What i need from you guys is verification. Does all of this look compatible together?

Also, if someone could suggest a good case to fit all of this it would be much appreciated. Keep in mind if you are suggesting a case though, i want to get a case that will have sufficient cooling to cover what i have listed, with the possibility of another XFX Radeon HD6970 2GB as i may decide to make use of the crossfire system.

Thanks in advance! :)

Good advice by Ebackhus on the power supply and not bothering with the Crossfire, not worth the money. 8gb of memory is a little overkill, you might have plenty with 4 gigs and at times, there can be problems with 4 gig sticks that you don't have with 2 gig sticks.
