Hi,

I am currently working through the HJT log from my brother's PC. I'm 90% sure that this is nothing to worry about, but haven't been able to get absolute confirmation. It's giving an error message at start up ("DLL initialization routine failed").

Do you think it's ok to a) remove this from startup? b) uninstall completely?

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NECStartPage] C:\apps\HomePage\HomePgui.exe

The only reference I've found to this is here:
http://www.wheresjames.com/index.php?page=sa&fname=homepgui.exe&company=Nec Ci&show=1

Does anyone know what it is, or whether removing it will cause any problems?

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place. Thank you for reading!

Hi
My advice would be to remove it from the Hijack log and make sure you have it set to backup the removed file so that you can reinstall if needed.
