Hi All,

I have a Seagate black armor 220 which keeps trying to repair a volume after a had drive failed as part of RAID1. I replaced the disk, added the member drive ran the S.M.A.R.T checks on the drives and started to recover the datavolume. Basically it gets to around 80% and the restarts. There are no error messages and this has been looping for about a week now.

It is running the latest firmware 2000.1331.
The temp is running at 48C
The data volume is accessible for reading and writing.

There are two Seagate drives
HDD 1 DataVolume 1.82 TB Seagate ST32000542AS
HDD 2 DataVolume 1.82 TB Seagate ST2000DM001-1ER1

HDD 2 is the new disk

Any ideas as to why it wont complete the recovery process and rebuild the raid volume? or how I can trouble shoot it?

What is the Manufacturer and model # of your NAS Server?
How are you rebuilding the RAID? Are you booting into the NAS's RAID control panel?
