I assume you don't have a data plan and are connecting your phone to your home wireless network and to wifi hotspots outside?

If there is no wifi access at work, DO NOT plug in a router or any networking device to your work's network. It can cause all sorts of network issues and in my experience, you can get fired for it.

It sounds you want to install a wireless device on your work network/computer so you can get wifi on your phone.

I'd suggest you purchase a data plan for your phone (keep it separate from your work network or ask your IT department if they can offer wireless access.

Other methods would involve sharing your work Internet connection and depending on the rules of your company, it may or may not be allowed policy wise.
