Will my PC cdrom of xp work on a (toshiba) laptop?
Need to know this for a teacher, he's gonna format soon so?

This is not advisable and I strongly oppose this because of legal reasons.
However you may run into problems because of device drivers that are not included in the CD.

Booting from an XP CD is fine. However most laptops come with a recovery CD that not only includes the OS but the device drives for that paticular machine. Sure you could download these drivers. But now the legal aspects of the OS not being legit on the laptop. We here at TSF do not condone this type of activity therefore consider this thread closed.
