uninstall/reinstall drivers ( preferably in safe mode ) Make sure your speakers and your connections are ok.
My sound, sounds like crap
i have a new motherboard, i use the cd with the board to install the sound drivers. the sound isn't loud, and its sounds cracking. any suggestions?

well i grab a pair of speakers from work and tried them out on my new pc. it works a lot better :sayyes: . sound is clear and its very loud. :grin: so maybe my old speakers just couldn't handle the sound?
