My router isn't working?

Yesterday my little sister pressed the 'reset factory settings' button on my modem and my router. My modem brand is Zhone and router is Netgear. I called customer support and they told me to change a few things on the CMD on my computer. But the only thing that did was let me use the internet while my computer is hooked up to the modem. The thing is, my sister has a laptop that she uses almost 24/7 and she needs a wireless connection. I don't know if this makes sense but I'm in a hurry.
