Recently, my HP G62 ccrashed, d system couldn't detect hdd, a techie diagnoised HHD failure. I used a recovery software to recover my files after inserting d HHD into a healthy pc usb. Unfortunately the
Very C:\ that contains my importants files shows "empty folder" whenever I try to open. I tried to take ownership, didint work.
Could some1 please me recover my files. My years of productivity is gone, pls help me

What software did you use to recover your files? To recover files from a failed drive, you must have a drive as large or larger to recover To (you cannot recover to the same drive) If you did this, it didn't work.
I have had great luck with GetDataack NTFS. Download the Trial version and let it scan your drive. It will tell you what if anything it can recover and you decide it it is worth paying for to actually recover your files. You still need another drive to restore your files to.

I used a software called Findandmount Pro. I have been able to recover some files, but d problem is with d c:\ folder. It shows "empty folder", other partitions seems to be okay. I remember I used to password my windows before the problem came up. Could that have made d folder to be invisible?
