My HP Pavilion dv9000 laptop isn't wanting to connect to my own wireless network. I am useing a Linksys wireless router which is sending a useable signal, My other laptop is able to connect to it. When my HP attempts to connect, it seems to break the connection in the middle of aquiring the network address. Any ideas what i could do to fix this problem?
My laptop won't seem to connect.

Does it shoot out any errors? Limited connectivity afterwards?
After it errors out, try Run>CMD: ipconfig/renew or ipconfig/release
It may also be its expecting a password and there isnt one? Or vice versa. Right click the "found linksys", and choose properties. See what you can find in there. If it says it needs a password and you know you never put one in (manually or the other computer doesnt need one), then change WEP to NONE.
