How are you trying to
load the Windows OS onto the new SSD?
Start the laptop and press
F10 continuously to enter
Setup (Bios)
Under
System Information, scroll to the bottom and it should list the SSD drive. If not, it is not plugged in correctly or it is bad.
Under the
Boot tab, it should be set to
UEFI Bios, you can add
Legacy/CSM boot too if you like.
On another online computer, you should have downloaded the
Windows 10 ISO image and burned it to a Flash Drive with the
Media Creation Tool on that same page.
Insert the USB Flash Drive Windows installer into the troubled laptop and Start the laptop Pressing
F9 repeatedly. Select the Flash Drive as the Boot Device.
In the Windows Installer, select your Language, then
Custom Install. In
Where Would You Like to install Windows? the SSD drive should be listed, if not check that the drive is recognized in the Bios.
With the drive recognized, if there are any partitions on it,
Delete them all until the Whole Disk is
Unallocated Space, then press
Next. Windows will create partitions and format them during the install.
