My folders open out of the desktop, when i try to minimize and maximize them it seems they go past the right side of the screen and I dont know how to move them back.

sounds like you need to change your desktop resolution, try 1024x768 if that doesn't do then try another combination.

a quick way to resize them if you cant see the right side of the window is to double click the title bar of the window and it will become the opposite of its current size.
