Looks pretty good to me. If I were you I'd spend the extra $25 to get the Radeon 5750 graphics card rather than the 4770:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...2859&cm_re=Radeon_5750-_-14-102-859-_-Product

And also consider the Radeon 5770.

You can make up for this greater expense by saving about $80 by going with the OEM version of Windows 7: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...54&cm_re=Windows_7_OEM-_-32-116-754-_-Product

Also, the Raidmax Smilodon you picked out comes with a (garbage) 500W power supply, you might find a cheaper version without the PSU.

Otherwise looks like a solid setup to me. The AII X3 435 is a good choice in that price range, and the rest of the components are good picks. I'd say you're good.

no, no, that's all wrong:

First of all, it's the holiday season, you need to take advantage of that. Second of all, make sure you use Bing Cashback, that way you can get 10% of your money back if you purchase from Newegg.

Everything I listed was not only better in quality but also cheaper in price, or around the same price. Like I said, it's the holiday season, Black Friday is almost upon us and that's the biggest shopping day of the year.

Unfortunately, the graphics card is sold out. Still, based on the reviews it was really noisy.

By the way, do you have an older brother or sister in college?

Go here > http://www.bing.com/shopping/pages/stores.aspx?scope=cashback&FORM=R5FD1 > click on "N" > then scroll down the Newegg >>>> okay something is wrong, Newegg was removed from the list, it was there an hour ago. Put simply, if it was on the list, you would click on Go to Store > a screen would popup and take you to Newegg, from there, whatever you purchased would earn you 10% cashback. You would have to wait about 2 months to receive that money, but they are "reliable"

Update: For the record, if you did have a brother or sister in college, they'd be able to get Windows 7 for $30.

First go to Bing.com > Type in Newegg > if you have adblock, disable it > their should be a Sponsored Ad for Newegg > click on that to activate the 10% cashback > and be sure to register for it.

Don't buy a card just because it's good. You need to get a good card for an excellent price. As for which one, well, like I said there aren't any right now. I can't just name one card because there are so many of them For now, just keep track of those two sites that I told you about earlier. If a great deal pops up, it will be on the front page of slickdeals.net .

About OEM:

http://arstechnica.com/microsoft/news/2009/09/newegg-reveals-windows-7-oem-prices.ars

"OEM copies of Windows are cheaper mainly because they're intended for system builders who install them on new custom PCs.

Nevertheless, consumers can still use an OEM version on their PC though they must remember that the license does not allow transferring the operating system from one PC to another (the product key is tied to a single machine). Furthermore, an OEM copy doesn't come with any support and only allows performing a clean installation, which most power-users who purchase an OEM copy are fine with. (Backing up and restoring data, and reinstalling programs is not big deal for them as long as they can save some cash.) Finally, you won't get any retail packaging (think cardboard sleeve with a DVD), but again, this isn't really a big deal. "
