Thanks for your time. I did what you said. There were two of them which I renamed but to no avail.

On my assuss eeepc netbook running xp home I have attached a freecom usb external hard drive. In my computer when I double click the icon for it I get a panel come up saying Open with. It then shows lots of programmes none of which will open it. It will open in plug and play though. If I double click the icons for my netbook hard drive it opens as per normal.
What have I done wrong and how do I rectify it please.
