Hi, I'm running windows Vista. Ok, so a couple days ago, my computer wouldn't turn on, well it did but it went to a black screen which said, "CD-ROM Boot Priority... No medium" I have been into the BIOS setting and set my hard drive to boot first but the screen still appears. I then went into the boot order screen which I accessed though the welcome screen of the computer but I couldn't find my hard drive on the list. On the list, there was only the disk drive and multiple USB drives. What can I do to fix it? I've checked the connctions going into the hard drive and they seem fine.

Hello and welcome to TSF!.

Ok so as far as I have gathered your computer does not recognise your hard drive in your BIOS and wont boot correct?.

If so can I ask when you turn on your computer to put your ear next to your hard drive and listen for any sound to check if it is spinning. My initial conclusion is that your hard drive might of failed, Meaning replacement time and loss of data :(.

Please post back your findings.
