If I were to put a CD in the drive that has music on it will ask me if I would like to burn music onto the CD, it will not play it at all..If I were to try to burn something onto a blank disc it gives me an error...What could be the problem?

I also tryed reinstalling the CD Burner software and it doesn't pick up the software.

I dont know what to do.. What should I try? Please Help.

Ps...I have a Dell, with Windows XP....I dont know what brand CD Burner Dell Uses.

Are you using Nero or Roxio burning software? You'll definitely need to update that software to ensure that it can recognize your drive. The website should be printed in the software documentation.

I assume that BIOS and your OS are both detecting the drives. Take a peek in the Device Manager to see what it's listed as and what the settings are.

What audio player have you chosen to listen to CD's in? Make sure that it's set up to detect and play your audio CD's.
