Please print out or save this page to your desktop in order to assist you when carrying out the following instructions.

Downloads
Download smitRem.exe and save the file to your desktop.
Double click on the file to extract it to it's own folder on the desktop.

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

Please read Ewido Setup Instructions
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

If you have not already installed Ad-Aware SE 1.06, follow these download and setup instructions, otherwise, check for updates:
Ad-Aware SE Setup
Don't run it yet!

Next, please reboot your computer in SafeMode by doing the following:
  1. Restart your computer
  2. After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
  3. Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
  4. Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
View Hidden Files and Folders
Go to My Computer >Tools >Folder Options >View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing / visible. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files option.

  • Download the attachment to this post, and extract it to your desktop.
  • Run "zipit.bat" in the zipit folder ON your desktop.
  • Email the folder C:\windows\system32\zipit.zip to: Skate_Punk_21[at]hotmail[dot]com
where ([at] = @ and [dot] = .) <--security thing

Now
Download MWaveScan
  • Double-click mwav.exe and unzip it to its default Directory @ C:\Kaspersky
  • Locate "kavupd.exe" in the New Folder and Double Click to Update.
  • If it says the signatures are more than 30 days old, keep trying![*]Keep trying until you get the actual signatures! (it will say "downloading yadda yadda yadda")
  • When you see "Updates downloaded Successfully, please press any key to continue" go ahead, but do not run anything else in this folder...

Boot Into Safe Mode
Restart your computer and boot into Safe Mode by hitting the F8 key repeatedly until a menu shows up (and choose Safe Mode from the list). In some systems, this may be the F5 key, so try that if F8 doesn't work.

Now go to the Kaspersky folder-> Locate and Double Click "mwavscan.com" to launch the MWAV Scanner!

Once opened-> Leave the Default Settings "ticked" and add a "tick" to"Drives"-> this will light up "All Drives"-> Add a "tick" to "Scan all Files"-> Click "Scan Clean" to begin!
This Scan may take Several Hours or more to Complete,Depending on the Hard Drive Size!

Please be sure it is Completed before proceeding!

1. Once the Scan has finished, All entries Identified as Infected will displayed in the lower pane! - Highlight everything that is inside the lower pane and press Ctrl+C at the same time to Copy!
2. Open a Blank Notepad Page and Paste the results (Ctrl+V) to it and Save it to your Desktop!

Reboot back to normal mode, and post The contents of this log.

Ok scratch the last idea, i need to modify that zip operation. Can you just find mcas.exe in the system32 folder and right click, then select Add to archive, and then zip/send it to me??

Otherwise... We have hit a minor barrier
IMPORTANT!:

Before we can proceed any further, please visit the Microsoft's Windows Update Page and install ALL Critical Updates for your system (except service pack 2 (SP2). SP2 should only be installed on a fully disinfected system. At the minimum install at least SP1a for both XP and IE6[/url]. Without these updates your system is wide open to re-infection and we are both wasting our efforts to clean your system. After we have completed your clean-up, we will have you return to the Windows Update page and install SP2. We will also then advise you on how to better protect yourself online.

Please apply those updates BEFORE posting your next log. It is this forum's policy to stop the disinfection process until these basic updates are done. If during the updating process you get a message that your product key is invalid ....then you may not have a legitimate copy of Windows XP. Unfortunately it’s also this forums policy that we only address users with a legal copy of Windows XP.... therefore if you can not update Windows XP to SP1 we must stop the cleansing process here.

Thank you for your cooperation.

go Here select the correct language on the right and click "Go" Save it somewhere you will remember. TO install this without too mumch trouble I think installing from safe mode would be best, or otherwise immediately after a reboot, without running any other applications (if there are several things starting in your system tray shut them down). Try these ideas out and let me know what works.

not as far as i am aware

think i have lost track of this - what are we trying to solve now? can i not run sp2 without sp1a? if system is clean then whats the problem?

still can't find mscas or anything similar, will try some more scans if you like? can't see what else is up, then again i'm not that smart!

OK, lets forget about updating for now...
Right click on this link http://www.greyknight17.com/spy/DelO15Domains.inf and choose Save As. Save it to your desktop.
Right click on that file and choose Install. It will run immediately (you won't be able to see anything happen). You may delete it afterwards.

now your system appears clean, so i think its safe to get a firm connection to the internet, now its upto you if you would like to go for the
Panda ActiveScan everything looks good from here, but if you'd like to run that and save that log, for sure i will look it over.

Make sure that you choose the "fix" or "clean" option when available
at the end of this scan you will be given the option to save a log from the scan -SAVE THAT LOG- and post it here

Please post a fresh HijackThis log & the Log from Panda so that we can check if your system is clean.
-and it should be aweful close by now-
