You need to install your sound drivers. What kind of motherboard/soundcard do you have ? Are there any Cd's came with your computer ? or a motherboard cd ? If not we ll need some info about your computer in order to help you find the suitable drivers. Brand and model number would help too. Also go get all available windows updates including driver updates ( do not get the video - vga ones since you might experience problems with those.)

it is a dell that i reinstalled xp on everything else works but sound i tried resource cd but no help. it is a pentium 4 if that helps
