Hi all. I have just had to reinstall Windows 7. I was wondering if there is an application capable of collecting .exe files and download URL's and grouping them into my own custom installer? Any pointers are most welcome.
I want to group a bunch of .exe installers + download URL's into one master .exe file so when i reinstall windows i have only one .exe file to launch in order to download & install all my apps. Is this possible?
though technically this would be possible, I've never herd of it, plus it would probably be easier to do it your self then learning how to script
though i would wait for someone else input, as you never know...
Hi, well you may have heard of an "Answer File" here is a site that you might enjoy I do not propose to walk you through doing this... so now up to you.
What you are asking for could be useful if you were installing the same applications on many computers. But it is hardly practical for only one computer. One major complication is that many installers are interactive and you will have to answer all the questions anyway.
Yes, you can do this. But it requires a lot of programming knowledge (way more than I have). I'd suggest starting with learning about the free program AutoIt ( http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/index.shtml )
I did it today when restoring a Gateway laptop. There was a Gateway program that installed all the "bloatware" once Windows was finished installing.
