my friend has recently reinstalled his windows XP, he had no problem installing MSN on his com but whenever he tried to sign in a error window pop out and says "wlcomm.exe application error" then 0x0000000 memory cannot be read or sth. Reinstall doesnt help and no virus found during scan. does anyone hav any clue whats wrong with his com? same problem exist also when he uses his windows messenger.

hi

i've experienced something similar with this, but not with my msn,with my yahoo.

Go to the folder of your messanger (mine C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger) find the file msnmsgr right click it, properties, go to compatibility tab and try to set "run this program in compatibility mode for" and other version of windows , i used 98/Me

see if that will work

helpls: thx ur method really works out ^_^
first: yah i think it's a 8.5 beta version (my fren's com) but it works fine on mine. Thx for ur advice anw :)
