Hi, I'm Steve.
I just bought the MSI monitor which was used unit from a guy I know from my gaming community.
I'm using wallpaper from Microsoft 11 and at first I noticed there was a sign at top of the wallpaper but barely to see until I put grey color wallpaper. I thought it was from Microsoft 11 wallpaper.
Also I noticed there so many icons at left side of the monitor when I put grey color wallpaper. The icons which I never had the software installed before.
Any idea how to get rid of it ? Even it does not bother me while playing games,but when watching movies sometimes it is so annoying. You can refer those pictures.

You didn't mention your GPU? Have you updated your GPU Driver?
Icons appearing on the desktop would be inside your Desktop folder under C:\Users\UserName\Desktop. You can delete these shortcuts there if you don't want them on the desktop.
Since this is a Used monitor, the seller may have seen this anomaly too, and sold it to you because it is not noticeable when gaming and thought you wouldn't notice.

I am using RTX 2060 with latest driver which is 516.94. I have done 2 times fresh format.
About the icons and the wallpaper I see that is not mine. Clearly I can read and understand the sign writing at the top of the screen which is maybe the previous owner wallpaper's.

Most likely they are burned into screen. If can’t live with it time for a new monitor.
