Hi I have bought a MSI motherboard for my computer, i took it home and installed it and I realized that i had no place to plug in my cdroms, i have a pci slot adapter that has serial ports for sata and ribbon tape but i cant install it because i dont have the cdrom working

I assume the reason is the motherboard's total lack of IDE ports?

Simplest and cheapest solution: get a SATA CD/DVD drive.

what if i use a flash drive and install windows from the flash drive. I took a hard drive from my other computer and it almost booted and the motherboard reads the drive

You can install an OS from a flash drive but the best solution would be to put out the $25 or so for a DVDRW.

yes agreed get a sata dvd burner. thats a really small board. OR spend an extra $15 for a full board
