I'm struggling to generate a document in word of labels from data in an Excel spreadsheet. I am familiar with the whole process (I've created my custom labels etc.), but there used to be an option to merge to new document. Now that is gone and the only option is "Finish & Merge/Edit Individual Documents" or Finish and Print.

When I finish and merge and print, I get a single label per page (my labels are 2 x 7 per page).

I want to create a Word document of all the labels before I proceed to print, so that I can carry out minor edits.

I even tried using the wizard with same results.

I can't find an up-to-date guide to this.

Your description suggests you have the mailmerge configured for letters instead of for labels. See under mailings>Start Mail Merge.
