MPEG-2 Decoding Software

Trying to open and view an MPEG-2. Used to have no problem on my old computer with XP. Now have Vista. Won't open. I tried to open it with Real Player; got a window that advised I need to get a Microsoft DirectShow MPEG-2 Decoding Software. Googled and it took me all over the place. Anyone have advice on how to resolve this? Any free mpeg-2 decoders? I thought these came with Vista????

Forgive my ignorance, but I haven't a clue. I have Vista home premium out of the box on my recently purchased m8100n.

Dai; thanks! I got the download and I was able to open up one more of 4 mpegs. Still can't get to 3 of them. I noticed this software has a ton of features and settings. I'm clueless to this stuff. Is there a good quick start guide to this stuff?
