Moving password hashes

1102 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  sinclair_tm
I have a school-leased macbook, and while trying to remove the parental controls, I accidentally deleted the school admin account. If they find out about that they'll kill me. Luckily, my brother didnt make my mistake with his macbook and still has the school account. I have no idea what the password for the school account is, but i have admin access. Would it be possible to move the password hashes from my bro's computer to mine and rename them with the GUID for a replacement account? was i clear enough?

ps. i tried cracking the password but i guess the school tech guy is good at making passwords...
pps. accidentally deleted the account with single user mode. i have root access
ppps. i dont want any goody-2-shoes noobs saying that i shouldnt do this stuff. if they really didnt want any kid with half a brain to be able to do stuff with single user mode, they would have set a firmware password
Sorry, but this is a goody-to-shoes forum, and we have rules against helping with this kind of stuff. Thread is closed and punishment enacted.
