My hard drive is partitioned and d has most of the memory. Windows XP. There is nothing on drive d and drive c has run out of memory.
1. How can I merge drive d with drive c (I do not want a drive d)
2. or how can I move some memory from drive d to drive c.
You will need to get a Partition manager. There are some you can purchase or you can Google " free partition managers". Whatever you get you tell it what you require and it should do it.
NB. if you do resize/merge the partition , the next time you boot you might see a Blue checkdisk screen just let it run, its simply Windows sorting things out.
First of all, Memory is RAM. What you're referring to is just space on your hard drive. Secondly, download and install and open the partition manager > as long as you're sure you don't have anything on D:, then just use the partition manager to format that drive > then resize C:.
