I have a new computer with Windows 7. I want to move my files from the old computer, witch has Windows Vista, to my new one that has Windows 7.
What would be the best software to do this?
I have heard about the software Soft Rescue Is this any good? I am open to any ideas.
I am a self taught computer illiterate, if that gives you a hint.

Should be the same principles because Seven is Vista on steroids and usually ms operating systems use the same principles for doing this

I'm guessing you mean you want a program to automate the process for you? If this is not exactly what you mean, then I would suggest using "file and printer sharing." Go into your network connections and enable it on both computers. Right click the drive that has the files that you want, and click on something about "sharing..." and then you want to enable read access to the drive. Copy all the files you want via your network cables. (This method requires a router, your computers connected to it, and again file and printer sharing enabled on both machines, oh, also make sure you have firewalls that will allow file and printer sharing pass-through).
