Hi,
I am usure of what information you need so I'll run down the basics.
About 5 days ago my old mouse would start moving very slow and sparadic. Also when I would click a program to open it it would act like i had picked it up and it would start dragging it. This would be true for items along the taskbar as well.
At first I figured it was my mouse (it was just a logitech cordless mouse less than 2 years old updated to the latest drivers). So I switched my mouse to the one that currently works on the laptop (it's a cordless optical logitech for notebooks...plugs in via USB.) Again these were the latest drivers.
it seemed to take care of my problems until the next day. They started back up and in full force. So I shut down my PC and when I loaded it back up even on windows log in it was doing the same thing.
I thought maybe a key on my keyboard was stuck (it would be like if your continually holding in the shift key if i'm not mistaken). Switched keyboards.
Nothing.
I've not downloaded any new programs in the past week.
I am unsure if it's possibly a new virus or something; I currently run ZoneAlarm full security suite, PestPatrol, Ad-Aware SE, SpyBot S&D and all always come back clean. I only go to 1 website on the internet that I know for a fact is clean.
Some may ask well if that's all you do why would it matter...it totally revolves around using your mouse and fast.
I've tried everything I can think of and if anyone wants anymore info about what else i'm running, a HijackThis report, whatever i'll download and run it. I'm just totally frustrated about it.
Both mice work on other pc's fine. it's just something with mine.
Thanks.
At the same time all this started btw I started experiencing some major lag on the 'net with refreshing webpages. I don't know if this has something to do with it or not.
